چکیده
Aim: to assess the clinical effectiveness of Giomer varnish in comparison sodium fluoride reducing hypersensitivity. Methodology: Using a Split mouth design, 66 participants were enrolled. Each participant should have at least two sensitive teeth different sides same jaw, with visual analogue scale score or more. Teeth examined by using stimuli: Evaporative, thermal and tactile stimuli. Sides categorized randomly into groups according desensitizing agents used either Giomer. Degree Hypersensitivity was assessed (VAS) before application , immediately after 1 week one month later . Data analyzed Two way ANOVA, partial eta-squared, Kruskal-Wallis, Bonferroni-corrected Wilcoxon, Mann-Whitney test Chi-square tests. Absolute risk, relative risk reduction 95% confidence interval. Results: Sodium exhibited high VAS T1 3.39(1.11), T2 3.21(0.99) T4 3.13(1.01) non-statistical difference between them. While T3 statistically lower 1.30 (0.9) shown this group. 3.79(1.5) followed 2.17(0.57) 2.56(1.87) 0.17(0.57) At T3, revealed it 83% 24% T4. Conclusion: is promising agent, which can replace management

Clinical Efficacy of Fluoride Varnish and Low-Level Laser Radiation in Treating Dentin Hypersensitivity.
The objective of this study was to compare the efficacy of fluoride varnish (Fluorniz(r)) and irradiation with a gallium-arsenide-aluminum diode laser in the treatment of cervical dentin hypersensitivity. Cervical dentin hypersensitivity (CDH) is a painful condition that is highly prevalent in the world's adult population, with one in six patients presenting this symptom. Eighty-six teeth were ...
متن کاملTreating cervical dentin hypersensitivity with fluoride varnish: a randomized clinical study.
BACKGROUND This subject-blind randomized clinical trial tested the efficacy of a new 5 percent sodium fluoride varnish (AllSolutions Fluoride Varnish, Dentsply Professional, York, Pa.) for treatment of cervical dentin hypersensitivity. The authors also compared the test varnish with a control fluoride varnish (Duraphat, Colgate Oral Pharmaceuticals, New York City). METHODS The study involved ...

Introduction: Nowadays, several casein components such as casein phosphopeptide amorphous calcium phosphate (CPP-ACP) are vastly considered as a suitable replacement for fluoride component . The aim of this study was to compare the effect of CPP-ACP paste and fluoride varnish on dentin hypersensitivity reduction. Materials & Methods: In this clinical trial study, thirty adult patients betwee...

AIM To measure the desensitizing benefits of an experimental stannous-containing sodium fluoride dentifrice versus a regular sodium fluoride negative control. METHODS AND MATERIALS This study was a randomized, double-blind, parallel group, four-week clinical trial. Subjects reporting dentinal hypersensitivity were enrolled and randomized to the experimental dentifrice or the control dentifric...

OBJECTIVE We aimed to evaluate the efficacy of oral hygiene instruction, fluoride varnish and casein phosphopeptide-amorphous calcium phosphate (CPP-ACP) for remineralizing white spot lesions (WSL), and the effect of these on the dmft index in primary teeth. SUBJECTS AND METHODS In this 1-year, randomized clinical trial, 140 children aged 12-36 months with WSL in the anterior maxillary teeth ...
